Dr. Stephen Minehart
Stephen Minehart, D.M.D., joined West Newton Dental Associates in 2008. Previously, Dr. Minehart was an Attending Surgeon at the University of Michigan Hospital where he was Assistant Director of Hospital Dentistry and a lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He graduated from Yale University in 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. In 2003, he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency in hospital dentistry at the University of Michigan in 2004. Since returning to New England in 2006, Dr. Minehart has worked for prestigious private practices in the greater Boston area.
A former hospital dentist, Dr. Minehart brings his expertise in post-traumatic and post-surgical dental reconstruction to West Newton. Additionally, he has lectured extensively on dental management of medically complex patients, and on the use of dental appliances in the treatment of TMJ disorder, sleep apnea, and snoring.
Dr. Minehart is a strong advocate of preventative care, and believes that oral health is a key part of good overall health and well-being. His philosophy is that the dental office, as a team, should provide the best possible care to meet every patient’s individual needs, whether it be routine maintenance or creating the perfect smile.
Dr. Minehart lives in Newton with his wife Rebecca, and his daughter Clara.
