Dr. Minna Kim

Minna Kim DMD joined West Newton Dental Associates in 2006.  Prior to that, Dr. Kim was an Attending Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Division of Oral Medicine, and a private practice in Somerville and Tewksbury, MA.

Dr. Kim received a Tufts Merit Scholarship and obtained Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University Dental School in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, and completed her residency at the University of Rochester at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, the International Association for Dental Research and the American Association of Women Dentists.

Dr. Kim served as President of the Robert Andrews Society for the Promotion of Dental Research (2002-2003) and is a recipient of many prestigious honors and awards for her research and contributions in dentistry including the American Association of Women Dentists Research Award (2002) and the High Clinical Achievement Award (2002-2004).

When she is not devotedly tending to her patients, Dr. Kim enjoys mountain biking and skiing with her husband and two children.  She is also a master violinist and played First Violin with The Cornell Symphony Orchestra.
